Quand le lieu inspire l'œuvre…
Un client était tombé sous le charme de Candelabras et souhaitait en acquérir un tirage. Mais l'espace destiné à l'accueillir était un mur vertical aux proportions atypiques, peu adaptées au format original de l'image.
Plutôt que de renoncer à cette œuvre, nous avons cherché ensemble une solution. Je lui ai proposé d'en créer une nouvelle version, pensée spécifiquement pour cet emplacement.
De nos échanges est né un diptyque : une adaptation de Candelabras conçue sur mesure pour son intérieur. Un projet collaboratif qui montre combien le dialogue entre l'artiste, le collectionneur et le lieu peut enrichir une œuvre.
When the setting inspires the artwork…
A client had fallen in love with Candelabras and wanted to purchase a print. However, the space intended to display it was a vertical wall with unusual proportions, ill-suited to the image’s original format.
Rather than giving up on this work, we worked together to find a solution. I suggested creating a new version, designed specifically for this location.
From our discussions emerged a diptych: a bespoke adaptation of Candelabras for his home. A collaborative project that shows just how much the dialogue between the artist, the collector and the space can enrich a work.
